F.A.Q.
(or: all the question you've always wanted to ask me but never dared)
What are your reasons for making this site?
It's my photography portfolio. It's my 'I want to show off my silly photos' site. It also contains some of my writing.
How long have you been making websites?
Since I was 16 years old. I started with a crappy generic site 'hosted' on gurlpages, moved to virtue.nu (both don't host sites anymore last time I checked) and was then hosted by Rebecca at glass-faerie.net. Rebecca gracefully let her domain expire, but apparently didn't care that I couldn't log on to my own site for several months, so all my files were lost. No matter, by the time her domain did finally expire I had already been hosted for a month by the very lovely Lisette at unintended.org until we finally bought our own domain. I hope that I can say that I've learnt from each website that I've made along the way(about 10, I think), but eh.. No, not really.
Why photography?
Why not. To tell you the truth, I don't know or understand why I like taking photos so much. I don't know where this so called photography obsession comes from, but I suppose it might help that both my grandfathers and father were keen photographers. It must be in the blood. As for me today, I'm just amazed that I can create such lovely looking images (I'm pretty much hopeless at drawing or painting) and that I seem to be able to give each photo the wanted atmosphere and meaning. I don't know how I do it, film must be magical. Or something that sounds less idiotic.
I don't think I'm an artist (not a 'real' one anyway) nor will I give you crap like 'Let me show you the world through my eyes! I'm so deep and thoughtful!'. It's just me and my photos. You can like them or not, it's totally up to you. Isn't that fun?
Are your prints worth buying?
Well, judging by the people that buy one and then come back to buy more I do suppose the answer is a firm yes.
Can anybody use your photography?
No. It's a very short answer and I also realise that it's a ridiculous answer; if someone wants to use one of my photos for any reason, there's nothing I could do to stop them. In fact, perhaps it is rather foolish of me to even put my photos on the webternet, but I wouldn't be having much fun then. Sadly enough, even if you ask nicely, I still wouldn't say yes, but I do have a Stock Photography gallery from which you can get anything you want as long as you follow the very simple terms of use.
Do you also do stock on request?
If I can, I will. Just go here for more information.
